What does it mean?
Handling and understanding problems in our lives that involve literacy and numeracy, i.e. being able to read and know what a letter actually means. Being able to work out whether the total on a bill is correct.
How do we help?
We offer tuition in the handling of the basics of these Subjects onwards to National test levels 1 and 2. Assisting the learners to gain nationally recognised certificates in these subjects and possible progression into employment or further education.
We are able to ensure that this work is linked to a number of different trades: Gardening, Catering, Retailing, Construction etc. through the Education and Skills department ‘Materials for Embedded Learning’ schemes.
